Add an associate to a corporate onboarding request

Use this API to add an individual associate (individuals, not legal entities) to a corporate onboarding request. Associates may include Directors, Beneficial Owners, Partners, or Sole Traders, and can optionally include ownership details and PEP (Politically Exposed Person) status.

You can:

Specify associate type, ownership type, and ownership percentage

Provide contact information and personal identification details

Indicate PEP status and include supporting information if applicable

Add residential address and nationality using valid ISO country codes

Follow associate requirements based on the type of organization being onboarded (e.g., LTD/LLC/PLC, LLP, Sole Trader)

The required associate structure depends on the type of legal entity being onboarded. See Create Onboarding Request API for details.

Please make sure all required associates are added and linked with the correct corporate_external_reference before submitting the onboarding application. If any associates are missing or linked incorrectly, your application won’t be able to move forward.

Additionally, please note that all associates (individuals or parent entities) with 25% or more ownership must be included in the onboarding application. Those with less than 25% may be included but are not required.
